Aloha! I'm Iben Dwight, owner of Weddings Hawaii. Born and raised in Denmark, I traveled to Kauai in 1994 to be an Au Pair (nanny). While on Kauai I met Gelston Dwight, a local photographer. We fell in love. For 3 years we bounced between Hawaii and Europe, until we decided to get married and make Kauai our home. We have two children, Malina (10 years old) and Makai (4 years old).
In 1998 we started Weddings Hawaii. I have successfully coordinated over 400 Hawaii weddings. My attention to detail, organization, and local knowledge will take the stress and confusion out of planning a wedding here on Kauai.

This weekend I went on boating adventure to Kauai's Na Pali Coast. We saw dramatic valleys, explored sea caves, snorkled & swam in the crystal clear waters. We were "blessed" under waterfalls or also a good way to wash the sea salt off your sun glasses. The boat goes fast! you sit on the side and have to hold on to a rope to not fall off. And I must say I enjoyed it.

This is the bouquet from Aileen & Ben's wedding on June 16, 2009. Aileen chose yellow and purple to represent the colors of Kauai and the State of Hawaii. The flowers used were yellow oriential stargazer lilies, purple dendrobium orchids and white cymbidium orchids. The stems were wrapped with Ti leaf and tied with raffia. I really liked how this bouquet turned out, modern style and vibrant colors.
